From California to New York, One Trip at a Time

In 2005 KK and Lily began delivering auto glass locally while living on 6th Street in Alhambra, CA. Over time, those delivery routes reached San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Arizona, and eventually stretched as far as Texas, Chicago, and New York.

Their days often began at 3 a.m., loading the van to reach glass shops during business hours after a long drive. They always brought extra inventory. On the way home, they would stop at more auto glass repair shops, introduce themselves, and offer glass delivered directly to their doors.

A garage on 7th Street, and NAGD becomes official

In 2008, after moving to 7th Street in Alhambra, CA, KK and Lily used their garage to store more glass, fulfill larger orders, and prepare bigger deliveries.

That year, National Auto Glass Direct officially incorporated and began shipping auto glass, opening a new way to serve customers beyond their delivery routes.

Lily helps grow our online business

In 2013 Lily graduated from UC San Diego with a business degree and entered the ecommerce field, bringing new experience to NAGD’s growing online business. As more customers shopped online, online sales and shipping became a central focus.

KK and his team refined every step of fulfillment: picking, inspecting, cleaning, and packing each piece of glass. They improved their packaging with equipment, custom boxes, and protective fillers to help glass arrive in brand-new condition.

Over the following years, Lily and her ecommerce team expanded sales across eBay, Amazon, Walmart, and nationalautoglassdirect.net.

From the garage to our first warehouse

In 2014 NAGD moved its inventory into its first small warehouse. The added space supported growing online sales and an established network of auto glass repair shops.

Larger shipments helped supply business customers across the country. NAGD also expanded direct sales to individual customers, bringing the same care to people purchasing glass for their own vehicles.

In 2017 NAGD moved into a larger warehouse, creating more room for inventory and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Two warehouses and packaging made to fit

In 2020 NAGD purchased two much larger warehouses with a long-term vision: to carry auto glass for every vehicle.

The team also upgraded its packaging equipment. A box-making machine allowed NAGD to create boxes sized specifically to fit each piece of auto glass and its protective packaging. Additional machines produced custom-sized packaging and fillers, keeping the glass snug and securely padded during shipping.

Together, the expanded space and better equipment helped NAGD stock a broader selection and pack each order with greater precision and care.

Our third warehouse helps us ship faster

In 2025 NAGD added a third operating warehouse, expanding alongside the two existing warehouses at 1314 Potrero Avenue.

Auto glass requires substantial storage space. This expansion supports our ongoing effort to keep inventory available and ready to ship. We’re also preparing more glass in advance through pre-packing, helping orders move out the door faster.
